The fig tree is one of the oldest food and useful plants known to mankind. In the ancient world, the fig was one of the most important staple foods.

The black mission fig was introduced to California by Franciscan monks, who also gave the city San Francisco its name.

The Black Figs Supreme have very thin, almost black skin and are violet inside. Since they dried on the tree, they have raw food quality, of course. Their smooth and creamy bittersweet flavour is an exotic delight. For fig lovers, certainly a special treat!
